Smart apartment in Minsk

Published date:2021/10/15 17:15:41

Today, HDL is going to share with you an apartment applied home automation system. This smart apartment is located in Minsk, Belarus, and overlooks the Minsk National Library, known as the "Diamond of Knowledge", from the window. Unlike the "Diamond of Knowledge" outside, the apartment is decorated in a modern minimalist style, and has installed HDL integrated smart home system to achieve the automation and control of lighting, curtains, climate system, security system etc., which naturally merges into and simplify people’s daily life.

To match the interior design and outlets, the apartment customized pearl white HDL DLP touch panels to easily control all devices connected to the system, such as lighting, HVAC, floor-heating, curtains, music and so on. And with smart panels installed in each room, users will not be bothered about the clutter of switches and remote controls.

The HDL DLP touch panel has a built-in temperature sensor so that users can control the HVAC system on the panel to create a comfortable and energy efficient home based on the temperature displayed accurately on the LCD screen.

According to the weather and needs, users can enjoy the benefits of sunlight spreading all over the house by opening curtains with only one click on smart panel or tablet, or protect house against winds and rains by closing screens.

When there is limited light indoors, users can easily turn on the lights on only one smart panel.

Highly Attention to Safety and security system

In addition to centralized control of lighting, HVAC and shading in the apartment, the users also hold safety and security system with such high regard.

As cameras at the entrance have connected the HDL automation system, users can view the real-time videos from the cameras on the tablet or smartphone to see what’s happening outside the apartment.

Besides, to help set users’ mind at ease when they are not around, the apartment has been installed kinds of sensors in many places so users will receive monitoring data and notifications transmitted from safety and security system. In case of an emergency situation, such as motion sensors are triggered when no one is home, sensors detect smoke or gas leakage and communication with any of the systems is lost, the system will push the notifications to phones at the first time to nip danger in the bud.

Fire and leakage protection systems work in concert to reduce the probability and severity of accidents and minimize losses by automatically locking the leakage protection system when the sensor detects smoke and a fire alarm is triggered.

More user-friendly automatic control

HDL integrated home automation system enables the more user-friendly automatic control of lights in the apartment by motion sensors. During the daytime when the brightness level falls below a preset level, the main light will automatically activate as motion sensor detects there is someone passing by, and at darkness when users get up to go to the bathroom or somewhere, the skirting lights will automatically light up to illuminates the environment while avoiding the harsh light.

There are also many air quality sensors installed in different places and connected to the HDL automation system. When the environment parameters such as indoor temperature, humidity, PM2.5, carbon dioxide, are deviated from the set ones, the HDL system will automate   HVAC system to facilitate air flow and air filtration, and adjust temperature and humidity in the apartment, which will improve the air environment and create a more comfortable and healthier living environment.

Centralized control on mobile devices

The app used in the automation project is provided by HDL Russia partner, iRidium Mobile. As the system has integrated other devices or app, users can also install visualization software on their mobile devices to control the smart devices connected to the HDL system. For example:

Turn on/off all lights with one click or control individual light

Adjust the brightness of lights according to various needs

Easily control each curtain

View environment data for different rooms

Perfect integration of decoration style and smart devices

Considering the minimalist style of the apartment and user's needs, HDL hides all the smart modules behind the cabinet doors in the hallway and dressing room to make perfect integration of decoration style and smart devices, and at the same time provides quick access when needed, but not to take up free space.

Whether it's a spacious villa or a small chic apartment, HDL can always offer an integrated smart home solution to suit your needs. With home automation, you can experience a completely different and convenient living style as your home will be smarter.
