PT. Infotech Digital System is the sole distributor of LS Cable (known as LG Cable Korea) in Indonesia and also IT contractor. As their business has grown, they planned to build their own 5-story rooftop garden office, a smart, green, and energy-efficient office, so HDL came to fulfill their expectation.
HDL Indonesia created a quite comprehensive automation system for Infotech’s office, to achieve the control of lighting, VRV air conditioning and shading, and time scheduling. The occupants are able to manage and automate the lights, curtains, and air conditioners at will on the Enviro panels installed. By the way, as HDL system can be integrated with third-party system to create a real and complete automation experience for users, the occupants can also use the iRidium Pro Basic app to control the devices in the office building.
For the AC control, HDL system has integrated with Daikin VRV system using the BACNET protocol so that the system can automatically adjust the AC to keep in good running condition to lower energy consumption. These units work in conjunction with temperature sensors, which detects and monitors the current temperature. For example, the HDL system allows users to set desired temperature, if current temperature is higher or lower than preset value, the sensors then signal the AC to keep working until the desired temperature setting is reached. Apart from automatic control, it is available to manually control the air-conditioning via a smart panel or mobile app.
Working with master curtain control motors and motorized curtain control modules, blinds of the office building can be activated in the ways of remote control, scene control and automatic control. Remote control means the blinds can be run to open or close and can be stopped at any position on mobile devices such as a smartphone or tablet. Scene control refers that the users can set different scenes for working, meeting, relaxing, etc., and then just select one scene, some chosen smart devices such as the blinds will be triggered and run the preset tasks. Automatic control is that the blinds, cooperating with LUX sensors, master curtain control motors and lights, can be automatically controlled to adjust the indoor illumination in a comfortable range and optimize the lighting condition in the office. For example, when the sensors detect a conference room doesn’t get enough light, the blinds will be opened automatically to get more light, or if necessary, the light will be turned on to create the greatest environment.
Installed with HDL 0-10V dimming modules and 2CH 6A dimming modules, the lights can also be managed and controlled in the customized ways of remote control, scene control and automatic control. And in order to eliminate or decrease the glitters of capacitive load dimming, HDL used constant current modules to provide the minimum current for TRIAC dimmer and keep the circuit current constant.
The bathrooms of the office building are installed with HDL LUX sensors and PIR motion sensors. In the well-lit daytime, the lights will not be switched on when people enter the bathroom while lights will be automatically activated when the brightness level falls below a preset level or in the evening. Compared to the conditions of resource waste that the lights in the bathrooms are always on after use, it is HDL smart and logic settings in lighting control that avoids wasting energy and decreases costs in terms of energy consumption as well as provides occupants with highest convenience and comfort.
With logic control modules, HDL team created time scheduling for lighting, shading and air conditioning mainly at night to help energy efficiency. When the specified time is reached, the curtains in the designated areas will automatically close, the color temperature of the lights will turn warmer, and the air conditioning will run at a reduced rate or turn off. When the outdoor brightness level lowers than a preset value, the lights on the office building facade will light up to make the building clearly visible in the darkness in a residential area.
