The visitor center and gallery in Český Krumlov emerged from the revitalization of a segment of the historic area previously occupied by a brewery, with its oldest structures dating back to the first half of the 16th century. Comprising 11 buildings, this complex holds significant cultural value, being part of the Český Krumlov Municipal Heritage Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992.
HDL addressed all the challenges by providing a comprehensive lighting control system. This solution allows for total lighting management, covering both the functional lighting needs of the buildings and the nuanced control of individual fixtures within the exhibitions and galleries.
The system offers remote accessibility through visualization on a tablet interface. This remote access empowers the manager to finely tune the lighting to enhance exhibit presentations and to automate switching lights on and off in accordance with the gallery's operating hours, thereby promoting energy conservation. Additionally, during nighttime hours, the system seamlessly transitions to night mode, further optimizing energy usage.
The project serves as a testament to the capabilities of KNX system installations in the realm of lighting control. The project demonstrates its capacity to manage a vast array of fixtures, preset captivating lighting scenes, captivate audiences, and deliver a truly distinctive experience.
